Nymphaea 'Siam Purple'
Hardy Waterlily with purple flowers, floriferous variety but slow-growing, one of the first blue hardy water lilies.
Waterlily 'Siam Purple 2' is one of the first water lilies intersubgeneric (cross between hardy waterlilies with tropical water lilies) obtained from Pairat Songpanich in 2007, comes from the same parent plants of the first water lily rustic blue; but was extinguished.
Has bright purple flowers, white at the base as the waterlily 'Siam Purple 1' but the amount of white in this variety is less. Like other plants ISG, has flowers emerging diameter of 10-15 cm. The leaves are green, marbled purple when young, and measure 20 cm in diameter. In pond occupies a space of 80-100 cm in diameter and must be placed at a depth of 30 - 60 cm.
Variety average floriferous but very slow growth. Tolerate winter temperatures of -20 ° C.
Suitable for medium to large ponds.
The plants that we sell have been acclimatized by our nursery some years ago and grown outdoors. The acclimatization of plants from hot countries is very difficult and slow.
