Description

Hydrocotyle vulgaris is a creeping water plant, spread throughout Western Europe. It is formed by a rhizomatous central stem that can get to also measure a meter of length; petioles of green color high up to 10 cm. The leaves are orbicular, peltate, with a diameter of 2-4 cm, green. Between May and July produces tiny white flowers greenish. Blooms very rarely.

It is cultivated in shallow areas of the pond, surrounded by up to 15 cm of water at a neutral or slightly acid soil in a sunny position.
