Description

The Iris Louisiana are rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plants originate in the northern part of America. They are formed from a creeping rhizome of green from which leaves slightly fleshy light green sword. The variety 'Black Gamecock' presents flowers are dark purple, almost blacks, even 12 cm wide. They prefer consistently moist environment: should be planted in water up to 10 cm deep or adjacent to streams and ponds on wet ground. They love a full sun or partial shade location of slightly acidic soil.
