Nymphaea 'Gloriosa' produces scarlet red flowers with soft spikes and white stripes, a diameter of 14 cm, the flower is made up of about 30 petals.
It leaves of an intense green color, unlike the young leaves in which are present the read reddish spots and have diameter of 17 cm. Not sensitive to frost and occupies a space of 1.4 square meters and is planted at a depth of 40-80 cm.
This water lily is considered one of the most floriferous, a must for collectors of water lilies and aquatic plants tolerate partial shade.
Created by Joseph B. L. Marliac in 1896, probably from Nymphaea alba rubra.
