Nymphaea 'Atropurpurea' has star-shaped flowers of 14-16 cm in diameter, and are mottled red color composed of 25 lanceolate petals.
He leaves with open lobes, have a diameter of 17 cm of dark green color. It occupies a space of 120 cmq and should be placed at a depth of 60 - 90 cm.
Ideal for medium to large ponds. He can flourish even in light shade and unaffected by frost.
It was bred by Marliac in 1901.
